The upcoming addition of more rooms to the newest hotel-casino in downtown Las Vegas, Circa, is set to take place this fall. This marks a significant development for Circa, as it is the first ground-up casino built in the downtown area since 1980.

Resort CEO Derek Stevens announced that Circa will be adding 106 rooms, including four suites, in late October of this year. What sets this expansion apart is that there won’t be any construction cranes visible at the top of the property. Stevens revealed that the accommodations will be developed on four floors that were intentionally shelled out when the property was first built. This strategy was implemented to gauge customer response to different product options.

“We wanted to see what room types we would need more of,” Stevens explained, emphasizing that this is a common practice for newly built hotels. After three years in business, it was discovered that the sunset suite, a nearly 1,200-square-foot western-facing suite, was the most in-demand product at Circa.

“It basically gives you a 270-degree panorama of the Vegas valley,” Stevens shared. The new rooms mark the third phase of development for Circa, following the opening of its ballroom and meeting space in September 2022. Three other floors have also been shelled out for future development.

Stevens revealed that Circa has been working on expanding its hotel capacity for approximately a year. The decision to add the rooms this fall was influenced by the increasing demand for the property during the NFL season, as well as other sports and events such as the Formula One Grand Prix and the upcoming Neon City Festival.

“It gets us to the point where we can make the investment and add the rooms,” Stevens commented. “Everything kind of works together.” The new rooms will surely enhance the overall guest experience at Circa, offering even more options for visitors to enjoy all that the hotel-casino has to offer.
