The Venetian casino-hotel on the Las Vegas Strip is shaking things up with a new player rewards program that is sure to attract gamblers from all over. They are now offering a tier-match promotion that allows customers to receive a Venetian Rewards card status that is equal to or even better than what they currently have with another casino operator. This exciting event is set to begin on October 1st and will run through January 1st.
It is still unclear whether this promotion is only available to new Venetian Rewards customers or if existing customers can also take part. Additionally, it is not specified which competitor casino cards will be honored or which card levels will be matched. When reached for comment, The Venetian did not provide any further details about the tier-match promotion.
This new rewards program comes after the introduction of Venetian Rewards, which replaced the casino’s former player rewards program, Grazie Rewards. Existing Grazie Rewards members were automatically enrolled in the new program when it launched on March 1st. Venetian Rewards offers four tiers – Jade, Sapphire, Ruby, and Diamond.
Tier-matching, or status-matching, is a popular tactic used by casino operators to attract new customers and entice gamblers away from their competitors. The Venetian, which typically does not offer tier matches, is making a bold move with this promotion. It is believed to be the property’s first widespread public promotion, and they are not holding back. The property will match reward offers from competitors, and casino hosts have reportedly matched preferred clients in the past.
The Venetian, operated by Apollo Global Management Inc. and owned by VICI Properties, is currently undergoing a massive $1.5 billion renovation. This includes the unveiling of a new poker room, which the casino boasts is the largest on the Strip. The first phase of a $188 million renovation of the Expo Center also opened recently.
